Storm Damage Repair in Keystone Heights

Shingles on the lawn or a fresh stain on the ceiling call for a clear answer and a sensible next step. Our post-storm inspection costs you nothing. You see pictures of every damaged spot, then we fix what the storm broke, properly and in order.

Calm, Orderly Help After a Storm

Storm damage is rarely just one missing shingle. Wind can break the seal strips across an entire slope, flying debris can crack tabs that look fine from the driveway, and a limb strike can bruise the decking underneath. We check all of it, so the repair matches what really happened to your home.

We have been in business since 1995 and work as a licensed general contractor. That history counts for the most in the week after a storm, when out-of-town crews go door to door asking people to sign on the spot. We move at a steadier pace: inspect, document, explain, then repair.

If the damage is minor, we say so. If your roof was already close to worn out, we will lay out honestly whether roof repair is still worth doing or whether putting the claim toward roof replacement gives you more for the money.

What Our Storm Repair Work Includes

Roof and attic check
We walk each slope, look over flashing, vents and ridge caps, then head into the attic for damp insulation or pinholes of daylight. Missed damage is what becomes a leak a couple of months later.
Dated damage photos
Each damaged area is photographed and labeled with its likely cause. Insurers ask for exactly this kind of record.
Temporary dry-in
When rain could get in before the repair starts, we cover the opening with a tarp or temporary underlayment so your home stays dry while the claim moves along.
Coordination with your adjuster
On storm claims we deal with your insurance adjuster ourselves, meeting them at your home and going up on the roof together. The adjuster makes the coverage call; our job is making sure nothing we found gets overlooked.
Repairs that match and hold
Damaged shingles, metal panels, flashing and underlayment are replaced with the closest available match to your roof, then fastened and sealed to current code.
Gutters and yard cleanup
If the storm bent or pulled your gutters, fixing them is part of the job. Before we leave, we sweep the yard for nails and scrap.

Signs Your Roof Took Storm Damage

  • Shingles on the ground

A few pieces in the grass tell you wind got under the roof edge. The shingles around the gap have often come unsealed as well.

  • Folded shingle edges

When wind lifts a shingle and drops it back, a fold line stays behind. It can sit flat today and still tear off in the next strong gust.

  • Granules at the downspouts

Big drifts of sandy grit after a storm can mean impact damage that wears your shingles out years early.

  • New water spots indoors

Damp patches or spreading marks on a ceiling after a downpour mean rain has already gotten past the roof. The opening that let it in can sit several feet away from where the water shows up inside.

  • Branch impacts

A falling limb can crack the decking while the shingles above look untouched. Any tree strike deserves a closer look.

  • Loose or bent metal

Bent drip edge, raised flashing or dented vents let wind-driven rain work its way underneath.

How a Storm Repair Moves From Call to Finish

  1. 1

    You call us

Tell us what you spotted and when the storm passed through. We pick a time for your free post-storm inspection.

  2. 2

    We inspect and document

Our technician checks the roof surface and the attic, photographs each problem, then sits down with you. You hear which items are storm damage, which are normal aging, and what each means for your home.

  3. 3

    Estimate and claim support

You receive a free, no-obligation estimate with each repair listed separately. If you file a claim, we join your adjuster at the inspection and hand over our photos and notes.

  4. 4

    Repair day

We cover plants and walkways, pull the permit when the job calls for one, tear off damaged material, check the decking, and install the repair.

  5. 5

    Walk-through and warranty

You look over the finished work with us, we clean the yard, and the job carries our 5-year workmanship warranty.

What Moves the Price of Storm Repairs

No two storms leave the same marks, so we price your repair from what we actually find on your roof. The written estimate lists each item, so you can see where the money goes. If your claim is approved, what you pay depends on your policy and deductible, and financing is available for work insurance does not cover.

How much of the roof was hit
Swapping a handful of shingles on one slope is a small job. Wind damage across several slopes needs more material and more hours.
Condition of the decking
Soaked or cracked plywood must be replaced before new roofing goes on. Nobody can see it until the damaged layer comes off, so we photograph anything we find and show you.
Finding a match
Older or discontinued shingles take more effort to match. Metal panels and specialty flashing also change the price.
Permits and code
Under Florida's building code, once repairs reach a set share of a roof section, the whole section has to be brought up to current standards. That can make the job larger than the visible damage suggests.

Storm Damage Repair Questions

Something not covered here? (904) 621-1208

Do I file a claim before or after a roofer looks at the roof?

An inspection first often makes the choice easier. Ours is free, and the photos show whether the damage is large enough to be worth a claim. If it turns out small, you may prefer to pay for the repair and leave your policy alone.

Will my insurance pay for the repair?

Your policy and the cause of the damage decide that, and the adjuster makes the call. Sudden wind and impact damage is often covered, while slow wear usually is not. We share everything we documented so the adjuster sees the full picture.

Can the repair wait a few weeks?

Minor wind damage tends to grow, since a loose shingle catches more wind with every storm and lets more rain in. Many policies also limit how long you have to report damage. An early inspection keeps your choices open.

What if a repair won't be enough?

When damage is widespread or the roof was already worn, patching may not be money well spent. We explain the trade-offs plainly and, if it fits your home, talk through roof replacement or metal roofing.

Is storm repair work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Repairs we make carry our 5-year workmanship warranty, which covers how the work was installed.
